SNAPS (Special Needs Activities with Parents Support) are a parent led, well established support group. We were formed in 1999 by a group of parents / carers of young people with various disabilities / complex and additional needs which provides term and holiday activities for the whole family with a child or young person 0 - 25 years old with special or additional needs in the Tees Valley area.

Our aim is to provide support to families and young people with various disabilities / complex and additional needs in the Tees Valley area; this is achieved by organising term time, out of school and holiday activities for the whole family to join in. We also offer a wide range of information and practical and emotional support for parents / carers of young people with various disabilities / complex and additional needs.
Activities sessions have included:
- Ice Skating
- Floats & Pool Fun
- Climbing Wall
- Dance
- Arts & Crafts
- Cold Cooking
- Family Sports
- Soft Play
- Zig Zag Wall
- Dance Mats
and other great family fun.
We do ask parents/carers to be responsible for their young people at all times and show respect to other families.
There is usually no need to book and we don’t have a membership fee – if you’ve not been along for a while or haven’t joined in our activities before just come along so come along and try our activities!
Families are given a chance to enjoy activities together and an opportunity to meet with others in similar situations.
Started in September 2006 held on Wednesdays term time. A chance to have a coffee, a chat and a Chill (a little bit of ME time), also to find out any information or what’s going on in the area, for the family.
It will be great to see you.

Come along and meet other parents informally.
